20% of our turnover is invested into R&D projects. We have a long standing commitment to R&D and have been involved in European and national projects for decades.
Research topics include high temperature piezoelectric ceramics, high sensitivity materials, lead-free materials, and thick-film technology.
We collaborate with leading universities throughout Europe. We have been continuously involved in large research projects under Brite/Euram, Eureka, Cost, Esprit, FP5, FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020 etc.
Some of our projects are:
Micro fabrication production technology for MEMS on new emerging smart textiles/flexibles
Aircraft integrated structural health assessment II
Miniaturised Ultrasonic, Engineered-Structure and LTCC-Based Devices for Acoustics, Fluidics, Optics and Robotics
Establish a research network to identify key areas for development within polar electroceramics and implement emerging technologies.
High-sensitivity novel PIezoceramics for advanced applications - textured, thick films and multilayer structures
ELiminating Batteries - energy harvesters for integrated systems
Develop and test very small, environmentally-friendly units called energy harvesters that can capture energy from vibrations. The project was a collaboration between the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Ferroperm Piezoceramics A/S and Vestas Wind Systems A/S.
Piezoelectric MEMS devices for integrated sensors and transducers.
